Hi there! Welcome to Rocky Point Cottages! 

We’re two friends from Burlington who’ve long dreamed of creating a special retreat where family and friends could escape the hustle of everyday life and enjoy time together in one beautiful place. Our journey began with friendship and watching our kids grow up side by side. Over the years, we’ve always dreamed of a spot—a retreat, really—where we could bring our families, friends, and yes, even our dogs, to connect, unwind, and make memories.

We both have deep East Coast Canadian roots, and those roots run deep in our hearts. Our connection to the land, the water, and with people has always been at the center of who we are. We wanted to create a place that reflected this sense of belonging and family—where every moment feels like home. It’s a place where you can come together with your loved ones, slow down, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Our love for cottage country in Ontario started long before Rocky Point became a reality. Over the years, both of our families have been fortunate to rent special properties where we made incredible memories. Those experiences shaped our vision and deepened our appreciation for the beauty and tranquility of Ontario’s rugged landscapes. We wanted our kids to experience the magic of cottage life—the laughter-filled days on the water, the peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee on the dock, and the simple joy of gathering around a crackling fire under the stars. 

But here’s the best part: we didn’t do this alone. This dream became a reality with the hands, hearts, and hard work of our family. Together, we built the Lake House from the ground up—choosing the perfect spot by the water, carefully planning every detail, and putting in countless hours to bring it to life. But we didn’t stop there. We poured just as much love into renovating the Cottage, making it a warm and cozy retreat while preserving its charm. And beyond the walls of these spaces, we worked to shape the land itself—keeping its rugged beauty while making it functional for everyone to enjoy. Every board we placed, every nail we hammered, and every path we cleared holds a piece of our story. This isn’t just a Lake House  and a Cottage—it’s our entire family’s pride, built with care, determination, and so many unforgettable memories.

Whether you’re paddling on the lake, fishing off the dock, or just floating lazily in the sun, there’s something for everyone here. Our families each experience the cottage in their own way—some love to swim, others enjoy fishing, and a few just kick back in the Muskoka chairs with a cold drink and good conversation. For us, it’s about the joy of being together, in whatever way works best for you. Even our dogs love it here, and we built this space with them in mind—because we know that pets are family, too.

We know life can get hectic. Work, responsibilities, endless to-do lists—it all adds up. That’s why we created Rocky Point—to have a place where we could escape it all without sacrificing the comforts of home. From cozy evenings around the fire to mornings on the water, we wanted a retreat that was just as comfortable as it is relaxing.

Our hope is that this place becomes more than just a rental for you. We want it to be a space where you can truly unwind, create memories, and connect with the people who matter most. Whether it’s a weekend with your closest friends or a family reunion, this is a place where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy everything this beautiful spot has to offer.
